Ingredients

  • 1 cup peeled garlic cloves (155 grams)
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups neutral vegetable oil (like avocado oil)

Instructions

  1. Peel the garlic cloves if not pre-peeled.
  2. Cut each clove in half lengthwise and remove any green germ.
  3. In a tall jar, combine garlic cloves, lemon juice, and salt; blend using an immersion blender until smooth.
  4. While blending, slowly add the vegetable oil until fully emulsified, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Transfer toum to an airtight mason jar and store in the fridge.
