  • 1 cup sugar (200 g)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (133 g)
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped apples (100 g)
  • ½ cup toasted pecan pieces (53 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350℉ (175℃).
  2. In a small pan, toast the pecan pieces until fragrant and set aside.
  3. Peel, core, and chop the apples into small chunks.
  4. Cream together the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth. Add the egg and mix until fluffy.
  5. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; mix gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped apples and toasted pecans.
  7. Pour batter into a greased or parchment-lined 8×8 baking dish and bake for 30-45 minutes until golden brown.
