  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  • 3 Tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine topping ingredients: flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter.
  3. Beat cream cheese with sugar, flour, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth.
  4. Mix bread batter by whisking dry ingredients in one bowl and creaming butter and sugar in another before combining them with milk and eggs.
  5. Layer half the bread batter in the pan, followed by half the cream cheese mixture and half the apple mixture. Repeat layers and top with crisp mixture.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before glazing.
