  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package (14 oz) refrigerated pie crusts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, then sauté onion until softened. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet; break it up while cooking. Stir in spices and cook until browned.
  4. Remove from heat and combine with shredded cheddar until melted.
  5. Roll out pie crusts on a floured surface and cut into circles using a 4-inch round cutter.
  6. Place filling on each circle, fold over to form a half-moon shape, and seal edges with a fork.
  7. Brush tops with beaten egg for color and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
