  • 1 pound boneless sirloin, cut into chunks
  • 1 pound turkey bacon
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Ground cumin (optional)
  • Chili powder (optional)
  • Kosher salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Set aside.
  2. Preheat a Dutch oven and add tallow or turkey bacon grease.
  3. Sear the sirloin chunks until browned; remove from pot.
  4. Brown the ground beef with optional spices for about 15 minutes.
  5. Return sirloin to the pot and add beef broth; stir well.
  6. Bring to a boil then simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
  7. Stir in crumbled turkey bacon and season with salt before serving hot.
