Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 ounces chocolate almond bark
  • 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips
  • ½ of a 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ teaspoon mint extract

Instructions

  1. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing in vanilla extract.
  2. Gradually incorporate cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and flour until well mixed.
  3. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Press your thumb gently into the center of each ball to create a well.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake cookies for about 12 minutes. Press down again if the thumbprint disappears during baking. Cool for two minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  5. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt white chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Stir in mint extract and fill the center wells of each cookie.
  6. Melt chocolate almond bark according to package directions and drizzle over cookies once set.
