  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • 3 Tablespoons butter
  • ⅔ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoon mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ground cloves, ginger, and salt; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter with brown and white sugar until fluffy.
  4. Mix in pumpkin puree, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually fold in dry ingredients until just mixed.
  6. Scoop dough onto a lined baking sheet and flatten each ball slightly.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until set; let cool on a rack.
  8. For icing, beat cream cheese with remaining butter and powdered sugar until smooth; frost the cooled cookies.
