  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup white apple vinegar
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown; transfer to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter, sliced mushrooms, and Italian seasoning. Cook until mushrooms release their water.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for one minute. Add white apple vinegar and reduce by half.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and return chicken to the skillet. Cook until chicken is fully cooked and sauce thickens slightly.
