Ingredients

  • ¾ cup water
  • ⅔ cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup strong coffee
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Bring to a boil over medium heat while stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool.
  2. Whisk together heavy cream and 1 tablespoon of gingerbread syrup using a milk frother until soft peaks form.
  3. Heat milk gently in a saucepan until it simmers (do not boil). Froth using a French press or electric frother.
  4. In your favorite mug, mix strong coffee with 2 tablespoons of gingerbread syrup. Add frothed milk and top with gingerbread cream.
