Le fondant à l’orange is a delightful chocolate dessert that combines the rich flavors of dark chocolate with the zesty brightness of fresh oranges.   • 6 oranges
  • 150 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g butter
  • 150 g dark chocolate
  • 100 g flour
  • Icing sugar (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cut off the tops of the oranges and scoop out their flesh without damaging the skins. Squeeze the juice from the flesh for later use.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, 5 cl of orange juice, eggs, melted butter, and dark chocolate until well mixed. Add flour and stir until smooth.
  4. Place the hollowed orange halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and fill each with the chocolate mixture.
  5. Bake for approximately 20 minutes until set but still slightly gooey in the center.
  6. Dust with icing sugar and garnish with fresh mint before serving warm.
