Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • 1 cup whole milk (room temperature)
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Grease and flour a bundt or tube pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter until smooth. Gradually add granulated sugar and beat until light and fluffy (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Alternately mix in the sifted flour and whole milk, starting and ending with flour until just combined.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract and optional almond extract for added flavor.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for approximately 1 hour and 25-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
