  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white apple vinegar (or chicken broth)
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 thick slices of French or Italian bread
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread garlic butter on each slice of bread and arrange on a baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden.
  2. Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Season shrimp with salt and pepper; add to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink; remove from pan.
  4. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter with vinegar (or broth) and simmer for 1-2 minutes. Stir in lemon juice.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet, toss to coat in sauce, and serve in bowls with warm garlic bread.
