  • 1 lb ground turkey or chicken
  • ½ cup finely diced onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey or chicken with onion and garlic. Add sage, thyme, black pepper, and salt; mix well.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
  4. Cut the pastry into strips approximately 4 inches wide and place a generous amount of filling along one edge of each strip.
  5. Roll each strip tightly over the filling to form logs and seal the edges with beaten egg.
  6. Place on a lined baking sheet and brush tops with more egg wash. Bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
