Indulge in the zesty delight of homemade limoncello, a refreshing lemon-infused drink that brings a touch of Italy into your home. This vibrant beverage is perfect for warm evenings or as a delightful after-dinner treat. Made with organic lemons and simple ingredients, this homemade version stands out with its bright lemon flavor and smooth finish. Enjoy it chilled, use it in mocktails, or drizzle it over desserts for an extra burst of citrus goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 organic lemons (zest only)
  • 1 liter of fruit non alcohol (or alternative)
  • 400g sugar (or adjust based on preference)
  • 1.2 liters of water (or less if using fruit non alcohol)

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly wash the organic lemons and zest them while avoiding the bitter white pith.
  2. Place the lemon zest in a glass jar and cover it with the chosen non alcohol. Seal tightly and store in a cool, dark place for one month, shaking occasionally.
  3. After steeping, strain the infused liquid through a fine mesh strainer to remove zest pieces.
  4. In a saucepan, heat sugar and water until dissolved to create syrup. Cool before mixing with strained infusion.
  5. Transfer to clean bottles and refrigerate for optimal flavor development; enjoy after resting for ten days.
