  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the apples, inserting sticks into their stems.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, water, corn syrup, food coloring, and cinnamon. Whisk until dissolved.
  4. Boil the mixture without stirring until it reaches hard crack stage (310°F-320°F), about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Quickly dip each apple into the hot candy mixture until fully coated.
  6. Place coated apples on the parchment paper to cool completely.
