Ingredients

Scale
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 16.3 ounces Grands 'Big' biscuits
  • 21 ounces cherry pie filling
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Fill a heavy-bottomed saucepan with vegetable oil and set it aside.
  2. Open the biscuits and separate each one into two halves; flatten slightly without rolling too thin.
  3. Place 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling in the center of each dough circle.
  4. Seal by pinching edges tightly and roll each piece into a ball.
  5. Heat oil to 325°F; carefully fry 2-3 dough balls at a time until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  6. Drain on paper towels and prepare the sugar glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and corn syrup.
  7. Coat fried pie bombs in the glaze and let excess drip off before serving.
